Dear Justice Supporter,

I hope that this letter finds you and your family well.  For the majority of my life, I have felt that I needed to do something more with the talents and blessing with which I’d been bestowed.  For many years I believed that it was serving the public in the role of a  law-enforcement officer.  After having spent more than 18 years in the profession, I found that I still hadn’t accomplished what I felt I needed to do.  For years I questioned how to best use my education, training and experience for the greater good.  I had some idea that it had to do with standing up for what was right and true, but for years it seemed unclear.

Then one day a few years ago, I was driving down the highway just outside of Flagstaff Arizona listening to a national news program and it hit me like a freight train.  The talk show host was interviewing a father whose daughter had just lost her life in a tragic incident.  The incident in fact was a crime, which had been perpetrated by a man that should have been in jail.  But, in this case the local government had seen fit to deliberately ignore the law, and as a result this father’s 16-year-old daughter was dead. This to me was an outrage.   Cases like this one involving our most vulnerable children, not to mention abuse and rampant defrauding of our elderly should be of most particular concern to us.  It wasn’t just this one story, but literally the hundreds if not thousands of incidents that I had been exposed to in the course of my professional and personal life that brought me to a realization.

There are plenty of people, who will talk about injustice, and how terrible it is, but not nearly enough that will actually stand-up and do something about it. After a long personal assessment I realized that I had been given the opportunities to gain the knowledge, education and experience not to mention the God given ability and passion to make a difference.  That was the day it all became perfectly clear, I was one of those people that needed to stand-up.

With that, we reach out to you for your assistance and support. I am convinced that with your help and our determination, the future of this much-needed movement will potentially have results felt on a national scale.
